First Prints

My very first prints of Central Park on February 2005 when I went to see Christo & Jeanne-Claude's "The Gates". All my negatives were damaged when our basement got flooded back in 2006. I also lost some of my paintings, drawings & books on photography & yoga. Luckily, I made several prints & had them scanned before the disaster happened. On the one hand, it is unfortunate that I can no longer print these in the darkroom. After that painful experience, all my negatives & photographic paper are now stacked way up on the shelves.

East Village

These are old prints I took few years back with my film camera. I went for an early photo walk somewhere in East Village when people are just about to start their day. Some are rushing to get to the subway. I see yuppies running to catch their bus with coffee, bagel & a paper on one hand, while others like me are simply enjoying the quiet, almost empty sidewalk.

Lady on left asked me, "Are you from Vogue?"

My favorite shot of the Mud truck. She looks almost like a painting.

Brooklyn Bridge walkway

Taken with a Graflex Speed Graphic last winter. I have chosen this shot facing the Brooklyn side over the one looking across lower Manhattan because it makes the photograph look old. This was printed on a 16x20 fiber based paper.
